The Centennial football team trailed early in Friday's game at Toyota Stadium, but once the Titans got going, they dominated.
Centennial (1-1) rolled over Lake Dallas 38-15, finishing the Titans' nondistrict schedule with a win that showcased a tough running attack and defense.
Quarterback Grayson Dayries rushed 13 times for 87 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He also threw a touchdown pass to Jackson Marshall, who led the Titans' rushing attack with 16 carries for 106 yards and two scores.
After allowing a touchdown on Lake Dallas' first drive, the Centennial defense shut out Lake Dallas until the fourth quarter. Luke Morrow had 11 tackles for the Titans and an interception -- one of three turnovers Centennial forced. Ashton Scott had 10 tackles for the Titans.
Centennial next plays Wakeland in the District 5-5A Division I opener for both teams. The Titans and Wolverines play Thursday (Oct. 8) at 7:30 p.m. at Ford Center.
